  1. I cannot believe how God aligned the stars to allow me one-on-one time with one of my Japanese friends last Friday. We normally meet in groups of 5 (COVID-restrictions), but last week, she was the only one available. We went on a hike and she was my captive audience. I simply said, "Let me tell you my story going uphill, and why don't you tell me your story coming downhill?" Due to her being very private and the ESL barrier, had we been in a bigger group, we would not have had that conversation. I got into her space and she came into my space through story-sharing.

    1. That is so amazing Annie. What a perfect day for both of you. Keep up the good work and I'm praying for your friend to have this intimate times with you and Jesus.

  2. Let me share a story. I have known God and Bible for a long time. Before I know Jesus, I read and analyze the Bible like a history book. My encounter with Jesus started with a challenge from my Sunday school teacher: You cannot know if a piece of cake is tasty by studying it, you need to eat it. Similarly you cannot know if Christianity is real by reading the bible, you need to be a Christian and live it out. After I know Jesus, I try not to analyze the Bible but rather to experience it. To be a Bible scholar who know the Bible in its original languages or all the historical facts is never my priority. I have no desire to brag or to win praises. My goal is to dwell and to enjoy His presence through the Bible. And I would like to share this salvation, this simple joy and peace with others by making disciples of His and not mine.

    1. Peter this is so powerful. I appreciate your story and your effort on keeping it short and sharing it with great substance. God has truly moved in your life and my prayer is that God uses your story to make in impact on your reach list. Thank you very much.

  3. I learned so much this week about telling my story. I actually incorporated the three chairs in it, so here how it goes...

Imagine there are three chairs. One chair represents a life without Christ, a second chair represents a life with Christ, and the third represents a life growing in Christ. When I was young, I was sitting on the first chair. My life had not direction. I had failing grades at school and I was never involve at all in my family. One day, a pastor visited our house and he shared about heaven and hell. I knew that evening that I wanted to follow Jesus. One night, beside my grandmother's bed, I asked Jesus to come into my life. I decided to move out from chair one and move to chair 2. Since then, until now, my life is constantly growing in the Lord. You can say I am now between chair 2 and 3 and growing in Christ.

May I ask you a question? Do you know what chair your sitting on? ....
